Senior Fire Officer 3 Diomatt Bacarro visited Fourth Estate Elementary School BF Homes to check and monitor the fire safety in the school. He had a checklist of the fire equipment that are necessary for fire prevention.

Teachers from the school willingly lent their helping hands to the affected families. They distributed relief packs which included assorted canned goods, noodles, and hygiene kits for them to use especially that we’re still in the time of the pandemic.

Numerous kind-hearted people donated for the fire victims. School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Coordinator and Safety Officer 2 Mr. Joe Mark Tumaque helped in assisting and keeping records of those who give donations.

Mr. Joe Mark Tumaque and Assistant-to-the-Principal Mrs. Florenda Aquino assisted Senior Officer 3 Diomatt Bacarro in ensuring fire safety in the school.

The Philippines is among the disaster-prone countries in the world. This moved the Department of Education in the Philippines to organize and incorporate disaster risk reduction and management into the school curriculum. It aims to prepare everyone in the school, lessen the possible damages and impacts during times of disaster avoid hysteria during actual disasters. Different experts deliver training on disaster mitigation and preparedness making the stakeholders prepared and informed.
